WHAT A WEEKEND 💙⭐️
Firstly to our superstar physio Evan who claimed his 5th All Ireland title on Sun. In a really tough year starting with a serious injury that threatened to keep him out for the season he never faltered.A true measure of the athlete that he is that he made it back for the latter half of the championship.His dedication to his rehab,work ethic,patience & ability to face setbacks with maturity was so impressive and though he remained on standby on Sun he battled just as hard for every inch of that title.No doubt he has many exciting years in the no1 jersey ahead.
James, Paddy, Dean and John who we had the absolute pleasure of working with for another year - incredible athletes & great humans and all deserve their place in the history books.Hard working and so committed each faced injury challenges this year & never wavered bravely pushing their limits to get back on the pitch.
Few get to see what goes on behind the scenes & just how hard these players have to work, discipline and mental resolve required to do what they do.It’s a far cry from the glory of Croke park on a dark cold morning in DSC facing another agonising rehab session that is physically and mentally gruelling,but they never quit.Always looking for that extra few percent to heal better,come back stronger & sharper and in doing so absolutely challenging our problem solving, treatment & coaching capabilities every step of the way!A special thanks also to our brilliant clients who are always supportive of the lads & show great camaraderie along with a fair dose of good natured abuse while they are being put through their paces!
And finally-saving the best till last,to our other superstar physio Ellie who had to wait till all the footballing action was over to take to the track late Sunday night for the final of the 1500m nationals.Facing very tough competition from the two European medalists,Ellie maturely stuck to her own race, ran bravely and hard from the front of the pack to take the bronze medal.An absolutely brilliant performance & we couldnt be prouder of our girl.
A great day for the parish! So proud of all our team both in the spotlight and behind the scenes.

G O L D E N🥇 It’s doesn’t get much better than a gold medal and a new national record at national championships. @emma.mcdermott_ took the national title and set a new national record in the 76kg class with some very impressive numbers @theipf National Powerlifting Championships yesterday:
165kg Squat (PB)
95kg Bench Press
206kg Deadlift (National Record)

466kg total - National Record

Brilliant performance and result by such a hardworking athlete who is having a fantastic season. Huge congrats Emma we are all so proud of you.

VERY PROUD of our multitalented physio @elliehartnett who took the bronze medal in the 1500m at the @athleticsirelandofficial National Indoor Champs in the NIA Abbotstown yesterday 🥉
No stranger to hard work on and off the track, Ellie’s positive attitude, focus, experience and work ethic make her an exceptional physio and coach aswell as an athlete. National medals are hard won and so delighted she made the podium in a very tough field. 💪🏽❤️
Big shout out also to DSC fam @carlasweeney98 (@rathfarnhamwsaf.ac)who ran a brilliant race and took the gold medal. Niamh Kearney (@rahenyshamrock) took the bronze medals in the womens 3k. Brilliant running by all 3 ladies and setting themselves up for an exciting season ahead!
